Prepaid benefit cards draw: 8,500 winners awarded €1,000 each

The Special Public Lottery program, with a budget of €8.5 million, concluded today at 15:00, the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family announced. The draw, held at the Independent Authority for Public Revenue and conducted in cooperation with an independent certified body, selected 8,500 winners; each winner will receive €1,000.

The number of lottery entries (tickets) assigned to each participant was determined based on the electronic transactions they completed with their prepaid benefit card up to 9 November 2025, the ministry said.

Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Domna Michailidou commented: “The public draw is not a benefit but a way to encourage the use of prepaid benefit cards in electronic transactions. With today’s draw of €1,000 for 8,500 beneficiaries we support fellow citizens who are truly in need. We continue to implement policies that support households and have an immediate impact on people’s daily lives.”

When and how winners will be notified and paid - On 2 December 2025, winners will receive a personalized email informing them of the serial number of their winning ticket. - On the same date (2/12/2025), prepaid card holders will be able to log into the Information System at https://prepaid.minscfa.gov.gr using their Taxisnet credentials to check whether they are among the draw winners. - The prize amount will be deposited into the IBAN of the bank account associated with each winner’s prepaid card between 17 and 19 December 2025.
