The electronic A21 platform for the Child Benefit (Επίδομα Παιδιού) will open on Friday, 28 November 2025 at 08:00, the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family and the supervised Organization of Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA) have announced. New applications and modifications to existing applications will be accepted through Wednesday, 3 December 2025 at 18:00 for the clearing of the 6th instalment of the benefit.
How and where to apply
Beneficiaries can submit their A21 application via the A21 online platform or through the government portals using their Taxisnet personal login credentials. (Announcement by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family and OPEKA.)
Calculation and eligibility criteria
The payable amount is calculated based on:
the number of dependent children declared in the A21 application for 2025, and
the household’s total family income for the 2024 tax year.
Among the conditions checked for eligibility are:
school attendance of dependent children in compulsory education (from pre-kindergarten through Gymnasium), and
satisfactory attendance (adequacy of attendance) where required.
Required school information in the A21 form
Applicants must enter, in the relevant A21 fields, for each child attending compulsory education: - the name/details of the School Unit, - the child’s class (grade), - the child’s School Registry Number (Αριθμός Μητρώου).
If the system successfully cross-checks the pupil’s data, the application proceeds normally. If the information cannot be verified, the platform will display a notice and the applicant will be asked to attach the necessary supporting document to the electronic A21 application.
Important submission rule
An application that is only saved temporarily but not formally submitted is considered not submitted and will not be taken into account.
